Hourly Compensation: The estimated hourly pay range is $21.00-$22.00 based on experience and skills.

Position Overview: The Audiovisual Event Specialist is tasked with the installation and management of basic audiovisual systems within a hospitality setting, ensuring utmost client satisfaction.

This role reports directly to an Operations Manager, Operations Director, or Director of Event Technology.


Key Responsibilities:

Equipment Management: Responsible for the precise and timely setup, operation, and dismantling of basic audiovisual equipment, ensuring a seamless event experience.

Client Relations: Aims to surpass the expectations of both internal and external clients. Maintains strong communication and rapport with all clients, engaging with guests on-site to confirm their requirements are met and that the equipment is functioning correctly. Actively monitors events and checks in with clients throughout the duration of the event, fostering a positive hotel/client relationship.

Technical Proficiency: Possesses a solid understanding of the technical elements of the role and demonstrates the ability to troubleshoot and resolve equipment and software issues effectively. Responds to equipment challenges and modifications promptly and professionally.

Operational Knowledge: Familiar with company protocols, adheres to procedures, and accurately completes necessary documentation. Utilizes equipment sheets to ascertain scheduled equipment for setup and breakdown. Collaborates with other staff and external vendors for equipment needs. Enhances revenue through effective upselling techniques and works with clients to finalize billing. Completes order entries in the designated system as required.


Qualifications:

High School Diploma is mandatory; an Associate's degree is preferred.

Must achieve Technical Level 3 Certification as per the Encore Technical Skillset Matrix within 180 days.

Preferred: 1 year of customer service or hospitality experience and 1 year of audiovisual experience or equivalent in an educational setting.

A valid driver's license is required for team members who may operate company vehicles. Additional DOT requirements may apply.

Must be capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.

Work Environment:

Work is conducted in a hotel or convention center atmosphere with moderate exposure to outdoor conditions and potential exposure to dirt, sand, and dust. The noise level may vary from moderately quiet to loud.

Team members will utilize high-end audiovisual equipment and electrical components and may work at heights using lifts and ladders. Flexibility in working hours is required, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Physical Requirements:

Team members must meet specific physical criteria to effectively perform essential job functions.

Occasional: Peripheral Vision, Carrying heavy items, Pushing/Pulling over 100 lbs.

Frequent: Color Vision, Depth Perception, Lifting 16-50 lbs., Carrying 16-50 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 16-50 lbs.

Continuous: Close Vision, Distance Vision, Hearing, Lifting 0-15 lbs., Carrying 0-15 lbs., Pushing/Pulling 0-15 lbs.
