Key Responsibilities
  • Marketing Communications and Outreach
    • Develop and implement effective marketing communication strategies to engage and retain older adults within our supportive community.
    • Cultivate relationships with aging organizations and community partners to expand our network and outreach efforts.
    • Support the coordination and attendance of special events aimed at engaging older adults and community stakeholders.
    • Conduct market research to identify prospective new older adults who could benefit from our services.
  • Research and Capacity Building
    • Distribute and/or conduct surveys and collect data to assess the needs and preferences of older adults in the community.
    • Compile and analyze data from surveys and assessment tools to inform program development and improvement.
    • Research potential partnerships and collaborations with organizations serving the aging community.
    • Conduct ongoing research into the evolving needs and demographics of the aging population in Maryland.
  • Direct Service
    • Engage in face-to-face or digital interactions with older adults to provide support and companionship.
    • Conduct friendly home visits and phone calls, engaging older adults in memory and cognitive activities, crafting, and social interactions.
    • Provide information, referrals, and advocacy to connect older adults with essential services and resources.
    • Offer technology assistance, reading, and writing support to enhance older adults' digital literacy and communication skills.
    • Facilitate group activities and provide transportation assistance for health care appointments, grocery shopping, and social gatherings.
    Requirements
    • Compassion for and interest in working with older adults.
    • Strong marketing communication skills, including writing, editing, social media, and event planning.
    • Trustworthy, patient, reliable, organized, and committed.
    • Ability to work effectively with a vulnerable population.
