Job Summary

Allegient Defense, a leading provider of technically oriented services, is seeking a highly skilled Energy Management Expert to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for applying your expertise in energy management to support our federal clients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply principles, methods, and knowledge of specific functional areas of expertise to support DHS energy requirements.
  • Provide advice on complex problems requiring extensive knowledge of the state of the energy industry as it applies to the Federal Government.
  • Direct energy assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement.
  • Develop and write policy documents or studies to inform energy management decisions.
  • Review agency requirements and provide recommendations for new technology improvements to enhance energy efficiency.
  • Suggest improvements to energy efficiency, including better data collection methodology.
  • Assist in efforts to transfer energy knowledge and best practices to Components and develop Energy Management solutions and systems.
  • Direct or assist efforts to improve efficiency for all utilities.
  • Analyze and provide recommendations for strategies to improve utility costs and Greenhouse Gas emissions.
  • Provide onsite analysis of current operations, equipment, and energy purchasing patterns.
  • Support energy efficient buildings certification programs and direct or assist energy and water program initiatives related to energy efficiency, energy assessment, and design of energy solutions.
  • Direct or participate in energy management programs, including energy choice analysis, energy efficiency, and energy engineering requirements, and evaluate energy choices using economic and technical analysis.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years in engineering or a related field.
  • Familiarity with DHS energy requirements.
  • Experience preparing technical reports, studies, and related documentation, using analytical methodologies to gain new insights and perspectives, and preparing and delivering presentations, briefings, and reports to convey findings and results.
  • Experience developing, leading, and conducting workshops and seminars.
  • Experience developing recommendations, such as estimates of cost savings and environmental benefits.
