About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager, Contract Negotiations to join our team at Abbott Laboratories. As a key member of our commercial operations, you will be responsible for developing and implementing pricing strategies to drive revenue growth, market share, and margin expansion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop value-based pricing strategies to improve gross margin and market share.
  • Collaborate with commercial teams to drive pricing-related process improvements and execute contract administration.
  • Design and refine pricing policies and governance mechanisms to ensure effective execution and pricing discipline.
  • Draft and approve contract language, including bids, RFPs, and other agreements.
  • Conduct performance analyses and reporting against key pricing/contract management metrics.
  • Contribute to the development of pricing playbooks, guidelines, and training.
  • Administer the contracting process to ensure proper documentation, approvals, audit, and compliance requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Marketing, Sales Training, Health Economics, Enterprise Accounts, Finance, R&D, and GMI.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
  • 10+ years of experience in contracts, pricing, or related fields.
  • Exceptional knowledge of pricing and contracting best-in-class models, processes, techniques, and tools.
  • Strong financial and analytical acumen, including ability to model revenue and margin impact of pricing and contract terms.
  • Direct experience partnering closely with commercial teams at a medical device or healthcare company.
  • Strong leadership skills, including ability to set goals and provide positive and constructive feedback.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team in a fast-paced, demanding, and changing environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel, approximately 10%.
