Job Title: Senior Strategic Communications Specialist

At CATHEXIS, we're seeking a highly skilled Senior Strategic Communications Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Strategic Communications team, you will play a critical role in supporting the VA's communications efforts and overseeing the production of creative products.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement strategic communications plans to create awareness and demonstrate value of VA-sponsored activities and services.
  • Research, draft, and edit promotional, informational, and marketing content for various mediums, including social media, blogs, articles, and scripts.
  • Assist in developing and preparing presentation materials, including reports, briefs, and talking points.
  • Contribute to the continued development and maintenance of projects, ensuring efficient and timely production of all project elements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure implementation alignment and effective communication.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Affairs, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in Public Affairs, Communications, or Technical Writing.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, with proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and social networking platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, with attention to detail and high work standards.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Experience supporting VA, DoD, and/or DHS organizations.
  • Experience in project management tools, such as Asana or Microsoft Teams.
  • Familiarity with the Associated Press Style Guide.
