Job Summary

The International Sales Representative position at International Bank of Commerce is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service and banking experiences while meeting sales targets. This role requires a strong ability to build relationships, offer tailored solutions, and provide accurate and efficient customer support in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Customer Service and Sales
    • Deliver the IBC Experience by providing prompt, efficient, and friendly customer service that results in sales.
    • Listen carefully, create connections, and establish relationships with prospective customers by suggesting bank products and services that will benefit them.
  • Account Management
    • Assist customers with account-related requests, such as establishing or closing accounts, inquiries about bank products and services, and questions about checking and savings account transactions.
    • Transfer funds to assist customer needs, contact customers to notify them of check orders, debit cards, etc., and update customer contact information and records.
  • Support Functions
    • Log and update the bank's system (Horizon) with notes regarding customer interaction.
    • Support the International Officer with loan collection, overdrafts, clearing exceptions, certifications, and dormant accounts.
    • Assist in preparing origination and servicing of deposit accounts and loans, and gather all required documentation to comply with bank policies and procedures.
  • Referral Program
    • Meet customer financial needs by offering products and services through the Referral Program.
  • Communication and Teamwork
    • Demonstrate ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality when working with important customer information.
    • Attend meetings, events, and participate in the bank's outreach projects.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • High school graduate or GED equivalent.
    • Prior sales or office work experience a plus.
  • Skills
    • Sales skills, customer service, and goal-oriented.
    • Ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
    • Proficient in computer skills and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office and its applications.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and Spanish.
    • Basic math skills and ability to use calculator functions.
    • Analytical skills, with attention to detail.
    • Team player.
