Job Summary

The Executive Chef - Culinary Operations Manager is a key leadership position responsible for overseeing the culinary team and ensuring the delivery of exceptional food and beverage experiences at Oak View Group venues. This role requires a seasoned professional with a proven track record of managing high-performing teams, driving revenue growth, and maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and develop a team of 35 full-time and part-time culinary employees, including hiring, training, and performance management.
  • Develop and implement menus, recipes, and food preparation procedures to ensure consistency and quality across all venues.
  • Oversee food purchasing, inventory management, and cost control to meet budgeted targets.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations, as well as employment laws and company policies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver exceptional events and experiences, including catering, events, and hospitality services.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers, vendors, and partners to ensure seamless operations and high-quality products.
  • Monitor and analyze financial performance, including revenue growth, cost control, and profitability.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to the culinary team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback.
Requirements
  • Minimum 4-6 years of experience in kitchen management, preferably in a full-service restaurant, catering, or events venue.
  • Proven track record of meeting projected costs and driving revenue growth.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and employment regulations, as well as company policies and procedures.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Ability to maintain a positive and compliant employee relations climate, with a focus on employee engagement and retention.
