Position Summary

We are seeking a KYC Compliance Analyst to support our initiatives in international development finance. This role involves conducting comprehensive know your customer (KYC) assessments and assisting investment officers in researching and preparing detailed reports on the economic and political climates of foreign nations. Responsibilities include reviewing new financing applications, drafting due diligence documentation, and developing complex financial models to facilitate project underwriting and funding.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform KYC assessments, including but not limited to the following tasks:
    • Conduct open-source intelligence (OSINT) research to verify customer identities, understand profiles, and evaluate associated risks.
    • Analyze data from various sources, including data aggregators, public records, and social media, to support KYC due diligence.
    • Identify potential red flags related to money laundering, fraud, or other illicit activities, and escalate findings as per established protocols.
    • Prepare analytical reports and briefings that summarize research findings and risk assessments, collaborating with deal teams to recommend mitigation strategies.
    • Work with internal and external stakeholders to ensure KYC integrity and compliance with AML regulations.
    • Contribute to the development of KYC compliance procedures, integrating best practices for research and data analysis.
    • Provide training and guidance to junior analysts on OSINT methodologies and compliance standards.
    • Stay updated on U.S. federal regulations and international standards related to AML and KYC.
    • Ensure research activities comply with privacy and information security policies.
    • Assist in responding to inquiries from external parties as necessary.
  • Support investment officers in preparing internal approval documents and drafting narratives on the economic and political conditions in relevant countries.
  • Complete project risk assessments and subsidy calculations.
  • Prepare requests for financial statement reviews from borrowers and sponsors.
  • Develop complex financial models in Excel to assess borrower creditworthiness.
  • Assist with processing proposals for external consultants and engineers involved in projects.
  • Prepare due diligence materials for project teams prior to international engagements.
  • Facilitate the collection of necessary signatures for credit actions and documentation.
  • Create presentation materials and charts for investment officers.
  • Utilize official workflow and data portals to support origination tasks.
  • Manage the transfer of federal records to the official filing system.
  • Coordinate and participate in meetings with stakeholders related to business development and project execution.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • A bachelor's degree in criminal justice, intelligence studies, international business, finance, economics, or a related field.
  • Ability to obtain a Secret or Public Trust clearance.

  • Proven experience in conducting in-depth research using open-source tools.
  • Ability to interpret complex regulatory guidelines and apply them effectively.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
  • Proficiency in OSINT tools and techniques.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and discretion in handling confidential information.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
