Job Overview

The Accessibility Compliance Analyst will provide support to the USDA, Office of Inspector General (OIG), Office of Management by conducting thorough evaluations of external-facing web content to identify and address accessibility challenges on a quarterly basis.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct assessments and analyze the external-facing OIG website to ensure adherence to Section 508 accessibility standards, including the most recent Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG).
  2. Detect all accessibility concerns, such as missing alternative text for images, barriers to keyboard navigation, and non-compliant multimedia elements.
  3. Prepare a comprehensive report for the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR), detailing findings and suggested solutions, including specific accessibility violations, affected ICT components, and practical recommendations for remediation.
  4. Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders and development teams to implement remediation strategies, ensuring compliance with Section 508 accessibility standards.
  5. Perform follow-up testing and validation to confirm that all identified accessibility barriers have been effectively resolved.

Qualifications:

  • The Accessibility Compliance Analyst should possess a minimum of 3 years of proven experience in testing and evaluating Federal agency web content, systems, and software applications for Section 508 compliance.
  • The Accessibility Compliance Analyst should have at least 3 years of demonstrated experience in reporting findings, proposing solutions, and executing remedies to assist Federal agencies in achieving Section 508 compliance for their web content, systems, and software applications.
  • The Accessibility Compliance Analyst must hold a current Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Trusted Tester V5 Certification.
