Position: Full-Time CT Lead Imaging Technologist

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Overview:

  • Manages the daily functions of the Imaging technical team to ensure superior customer service and a supportive environment for both staff and patients. Collaborates with management and clinical teams to establish and uphold standards that align with departmental policies and foster educational development for the imaging personnel, in line with Penn Medicine's vision and mission.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Clearly articulates performance expectations for all technical staff.
  • Addresses minor performance concerns promptly and directly, collaborating with management on more serious issues.
  • Assists in conducting annual performance evaluations.
  • Provides mentorship and support to team members.
  • Helps staff navigate challenges and develop necessary skills.
  • Promotes continuous professional growth by identifying goals and creating tailored learning plans.
  • Conducts and supervises imaging examinations, ensuring the selection of appropriate technical parameters and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manages inventory and supplies essential for office operations.
  • Oversees daily patient and staff scheduling to ensure accuracy and optimal utilization of resources.
  • Quality Assurance - ensures compliance with protocols and maintains an up-to-date quality control manual, upholding ACR standards across all facilities.
  • Prepares memos and documentation using clear and concise language.
  • Acts as a liaison between radiologists and technologists, supporting quality control initiatives.
  • Enhances professional development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-service meetings, and workshops.
  • Attends required meetings and oversees processes related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Manages the dosimetry program.
  • Performs imaging procedures within their certified modality.
Qualifications:
  • ARRT, NMTCB, RDMS, or RVT certification (Required).
  • Registry in their respective Imaging Modality (ARRT, RDMS, RVT, NMTCB) is mandatory.
Education and Experience:
  • Graduation from an accredited Imaging program is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in their modality, or 5+ years of experience across multiple modalities.
