Position: Full-Time CT Imaging Technologist Lead

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, Day Shift

Responsibilities Overview:

  • Supervises daily operations of the imaging technical team, ensuring optimal service delivery and a supportive environment for both staff and patients. Collaborates with management and clinical teams to establish and uphold standards that promote departmental policies and educational advancement in alignment with Penn Medicine's vision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clearly articulates performance expectations for all technical staff.
  • Addresses minor performance concerns promptly and collaborates with management on more serious issues.
  • Assists in conducting annual performance evaluations.
  • Provides mentorship and support to team members.
  • Helps staff navigate challenges and enhance their skills.
  • Encourages continuous professional development by identifying goals and creating tailored learning plans.
  • Performs and supervises imaging examinations, ensuring proper technical parameters are utilized and maintaining accurate records.
  • Manages inventory and supplies necessary for operational efficiency.
  • Oversees daily patient and staff scheduling to ensure accuracy and optimal resource utilization.
  • Quality Assurance - ensures that all responsible parties maintain up-to-date protocols and quality control manuals.
  • Prepares memos and documentation using clear and concise language.
  • Acts as a liaison between radiologists and technologists, supporting quality control initiatives.
  • Promotes professional growth through participation in educational programs, literature review, and workshops.
  • Attends required meetings to stay informed and engaged.
  • Ensures adherence to processes related to equipment maintenance and repairs.
  • Oversees the dosimetry program.
  • Conducts imaging procedures within the certified modality.

Qualifications:

  • ARRT, NMTCB, RDMS, or RVT certification (Required).
  • Registry in the relevant imaging modality (ARRT, RDMS, RVT, NMTCB) is mandatory.

Education and Experience:

  • Graduation from an accredited imaging program is required.
  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years in the relevant modality; 5+ years in multiple modalities preferred.
