Position Overview:

Allina Health is dedicated to providing comprehensive Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Services, encompassing a full spectrum of care that includes integrated psychiatry, specialized outpatient clinics, addiction services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency care, and inpatient services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support adult outpatient and partial hospitalization programs.
  • Engage with patients and their families in the partial hospitalization program, meeting 2-3 times weekly for approximately three weeks, with opportunities for family involvement.
  • Manage a patient caseload ranging from 8 to 24, depending on program size and provider full-time equivalent (FTE).

Job Duties:

  • Evaluate patients to determine their suitability for specific levels of care and programs.
  • Deliver direct clinical psychiatric care, including brief assessments and interventions.
  • Collaborate with the treatment team, patients, and families to create behaviorally-focused, outcomes-oriented treatment plans addressing mental health and co-occurring disorders.
  • Work alongside program registered nurses to address comorbid medical issues within the patient population.
  • Actively participate in a multidisciplinary approach to case management.
  • Provide care in various settings, including ambulatory clinics and inpatient facilities.
  • Participate in on-call rotations as necessary.
  • Lead educational initiatives for staff regarding psychiatric topics.

Qualifications:

  • MD, DO, or equivalent foreign training required.
  • Board eligible/certified with ABMS or AOA.
  • Possess an active, unrestricted medical license in Minnesota (or the ability to obtain one).
  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining Minnesota DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI).
  • Meet criteria for credentialing and hospital privileges, as applicable.

Physical Requirements:

Light Work: Occasionally lift up to 20 lbs and frequently lift up to 10 lbs.
