POSITION OVERVIEW
The primary responsibilities of a Customer Service Consultant revolve around enhancing owner loyalty, boosting customer retention, ensuring customer satisfaction, and achieving sales targets. This role involves effectively addressing client and vehicle-related inquiries, meeting established service sales goals, and executing necessary administrative tasks with precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate service appointments efficiently.
- Gather customer and vehicle information prior to their arrival when feasible.
- Welcome clients in a prompt, warm, and friendly manner.
- Listen attentively to clients without interruption, ensuring their concerns are fully understood.
- Establish and communicate expected service completion times.
- Conduct test drives or collaborate with technicians as needed.
- Monitor the progress of repairs throughout the day.
- Provide timely updates to clients regarding their vehicle's status.
- Prepare comprehensive and accurate written estimates for labor and parts.
- Inform customers of any changes to estimates or timelines, explaining costs and requirements in detail, and securing proper authorization for additional repairs.
- Maintain a Customer Satisfaction Index rating that meets or exceeds the manufacturer’s standards.
- Advise clients on vehicle maintenance and the importance of adhering to manufacturer specifications.
- Uphold dealership standards for hours per customer repair order.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations, including those related to hazardous waste disposal and safety protocols.
- Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, reporting any incidents to management immediately.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a dealership environment.
- At least 1 year of outstanding customer service experience.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Sales experience is preferred.
- Must successfully complete pre-employment assessments, including background checks and drug testing.
- General understanding of vehicle mechanical operations.
- High School diploma or equivalent is required.
- Ability to read and interpret instructions and information.
- Authorization to work in the USA is mandatory.
