Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Human Resources Specialist to join our team at Georgetown Day School. As a key member of our HR department, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth onboarding and offboarding of employees, providing exceptional customer service, and maintaining accurate records.

Salary and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary of $80,000 - $90,000 annually, commensurate with experience. In addition to a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as a 401(k) matching program, you will enjoy a dynamic work environment that values innovation and collaboration.

Job Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

  • Preparing and issuing employment agreements for full-time, part-time, seasonal, and temporary hires;
  • Executing full-cycle onboarding, including background checks, I-9 processes, and new hire paperwork;
  • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance with local regulations;
  • Providing exceptional customer service and support to employees and management;
  • Coordinating annual salary increases and benefits changes;
  • Supporting offboarding efforts, including updating HR systems and notifying relevant partners.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field;
  • At least three years of professional experience in human resources, preferably in an educational setting;
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively;
  • Knowledge of ADP system processes and proficiency in HR-related computer applications.
