Job Title: Global Human Rights Specialist

Estimated Salary: $70,000 - $90,000 per year.

We are seeking a highly skilled Global Human Rights Specialist to provide support to the Bureau of Democracy, Human Rights, and Labor's Office of Global Programs (DRL/GP) at the U.S. Department of State.

  • Liaise with program administration teams, assist with financial planning, and acquire programming funds to promote human rights globally.
  • Provide information to the NGO community and other implementing organizations regarding the USG and DRL grants processes.
  • Maintain, update, and develop systems for efficient retrieval of documents related to grant allocation, notification, transfer, and implementation.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate with Program Analysts in administering international human rights and democracy foreign assistance programs.
  • Assist in coordinating foreign assistance funding throughout the federal assistance lifecycle, including pre-award, award, and post-award phases.
  • Monitor grant budget execution to ensure program objectives are met.
Requirements:
  • Strong writing and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with foreign assistance and international programming.
  • Ability to travel globally to sensitive areas as needed.
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance (U.S. Citizenship required, Secret Clearance preferred).
  • Bachelor's degree preferred with 2-6 years of experience or a master's degree with 1-2 years of experience.
