Nonprofit Development Manager

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in nonprofit development and a genuine interest in equine therapy. You will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive fundraising strategies, cultivating donor relationships, and identifying grant opportunities. Additionally, you will plan and oversee fundraising events and collaborate with the marketing team to create compelling materials and campaigns.
Responsibilities:
- Fundraising Strategies: Develop and execute comprehensive fundraising plans to meet annual goals, including major gifts, corporate sponsorships, grants, and individual donations.
- Donor Relationship Building: Cultivate and steward relationships with current and prospective donors to ensure they feel valued and engaged with our mission.
- Grant Research: Identify and apply for grants from foundations, corporations, and government entities, managing the full lifecycle from proposal to reporting.
- Event Planning: Plan and oversee fundraising events, including galas, community events, and donor appreciation gatherings.
- Marketing Collaboration: Work with the marketing team to create compelling materials and campaigns that highlight our impact and attract support.
- Partnership Development: Establish and maintain partnerships with local businesses, community organizations, and stakeholders to enhance our visibility and resources.
- Mission Alignment: Support our mission, vision, and values by providing regular updates on development activities to the Board of Directors and involving them in fundraising efforts.
Estimated salary range: $72,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.
