About the Position:

Destiny Management Services is seeking a proficient Biomedical Equipment Specialist with extensive experience to become a vital part of our team. Below are the details of the role:

Position Overview:

Compensation:
Experience: A minimum of five (5) years in biomedical equipment technology is required.

Qualifications:

  • Contract personnel must meet the necessary qualifications and, if relevant, hold the professional certifications required by federal, state, and local regulations. Documentation proving qualifications must be submitted to the Contracting Officer Representative (COR) prior to the commencement of work.
  • Candidates must have formal training in Biomedical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution, trade school, or military program. An affidavit confirming these qualifications will be provided to the COR before the Full Operational date.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential. The ability to build and maintain effective working relationships while representing the organization professionally is crucial.
  • Proficient knowledge and skills in applying a broad range of specialized methods, principles, and techniques related to electronics and complex medical system failures, including system recovery, adjustments, modifications, and enhancements to both hardware and software components.
  • Comprehensive understanding of various mechanical and electronic principles, including chemical, radiological, hydraulic, pneumatic, vacuum, and gas components, as well as operating parameters and limitations of complex medical systems and equipment.
  • Practical expertise in electronic circuits and components, including X-ray tubes, to diagnose malfunctions and repair/testing of equipment such as electrocardiographs, defibrillators, and spectrophotometers.
  • Familiarity with regulations and standards from organizations such as the Department of Defense, The Joint Commission, AAAHC, CAP, OSHA, NFPA, NEC, and FDA as they pertain to biomedical equipment.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation, including drawings, schematics, and specifications of complete electronic systems, and to analyze problems in integrated systems with complex circuits.
  • Competence in maintaining, repairing, and testing biomedical equipment in accordance with strict OEM technical compliance, along with problem-solving skills for intricate electronic systems.
  • Proficient in using standard computing systems and software for data entry and record maintenance.
  • A thorough understanding of electrical equipment maintenance and repair principles to diagnose and rectify issues in sterilizers, film driers, and dental units, including knowledge of hydraulic systems and their components.

Experience:

  • BMET Technician: 5 years (Required)

Education:

  • Associate degree in Biomedical Equipment Technology or a related engineering field is required.
