Position Title: Environmental Manager

  • Reporting To: EHS Director
  • Travel Requirement: 25%
  • Employment Status: Full Time - Regular
  • Salary Range: $90,000-$120,000

Key Responsibilities:

The Environmental Manager will oversee the organization's environmental compliance, developing and executing projects aimed at sustainability and regulatory adherence.

Primary Duties Include:

  • Designing and implementing the company's environmental strategies.
  • Ensuring compliance with environmental policies and promoting sustainable practices.
  • Managing the development of environmental systems and addressing compliance issues.
  • Conducting audits to assess compliance with environmental regulations and identifying improvement areas.
  • Providing expertise on operational strategies that minimize resource waste and enhance sustainable production.
  • Creating and managing budgets for environmental initiatives.
  • Leading investigations into non-compliance incidents and offering guidance on environmental impacts.
  • Coordinating waste management efforts and identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Collaborating with procurement teams to ensure sustainable sourcing of supplies.
  • Facilitating environmental training programs for facility staff.
  • Supporting corporate environmental initiatives.
  • Managing regulatory reporting and documentation requirements.
  • Engaging in coaching and professional development.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • Experience in implementing safety programs within a manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and internet applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of experience in a health and safety role, with OSHA experience.
  • OSHA 30 Certification.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
  • Capability to sit for extended periods during work hours.
