Position Overview: Environmental Compliance Specialist
We are in search of a dedicated professional to fill the role of Environmental Compliance Specialist/Qualified SWPPP Practitioner (QSP). This position is ideal for individuals who are enthusiastic about environmental stewardship and wish to advance their careers in the field of stormwater management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough stormwater inspections to ensure compliance with environmental regulations.
- Develop and implement comprehensive Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plans (SWPPPs).
- Provide on-site training and guidance to construction teams regarding stormwater best practices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in an environmental-related field, sciences, or engineering.
- 2-4 years of experience in stormwater management and SWPPP development.
- Strong understanding of water quality issues and stormwater regulatory frameworks.
- Familiarity with California State Water Board Permits.
- Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Current certification as a QSP/QSD.
- Additional certifications such as CESSWI, CPESC, CPSWQ, QISP, PE, or PG are advantageous.
- Experience with SMARTS and the CASQA Construction Handbook.
- Proficiency in Arc GIS Pro is a plus.
