Role Overview
The Clinical Nurse Coordinator (CNC)-PACU is responsible for ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care and managing all functions within the unit during the designated shift.

In collaboration with the management team, the CNC directs, monitors, and evaluates nursing care in line with established policies and procedures, serving as a resource for staff and embodying the organization's vision and values to enhance patient experiences and clinical outcomes.


Key Responsibilities
  • Facilitates admission and discharge processes to promote efficient patient flow and high-quality care.
  • Engages in ongoing assessment of patient care quality in collaboration with the management team.
  • Fosters teamwork by collaborating with subject matter experts and other managers to improve outcomes and service delivery.
  • Advocates for a patient-first philosophy and engages in service recovery as needed.
  • Supports facility engagement initiatives through nursing strategies and staff rounding.
  • Provides input on hiring, training, and development of new staff.
  • Assists with staff scheduling and manages labor in accordance with patient care needs.
  • Oversees inventory control and assists in managing supplies and equipment.

Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program: Associate's Degree in Nursing or higher is required.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice or possession of an active Compact/Multi-State RN license.
  • Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross is required.
  • A minimum of one year of RN experience is necessary.
