Position Overview
The Clinical Coordinator for Robotic Surgery Services plays a pivotal role in overseeing the management and operational aspects of surgical robotic systems. This position requires effective coordination of the robotic surgery schedule in collaboration with Operating Room (OR) Navigators, ensuring seamless throughput and completion of both scheduled and additional robotic procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Exhibit leadership and collaborative skills while working with healthcare teams to enhance patient flow and scheduling.
- Maintain and order inventory for instruments, accessories, and ancillary supplies pertinent to robotic surgery.
- Foster a motivating environment, assessing and negotiating to improve organizational effectiveness.
- Serve as the primary contact for inquiries related to the da Vinci surgical system, both system and clinical.
- Conduct training sessions on the da Vinci system utilizing the Interactive Training Tool.
- Utilize nursing processes to provide care for patients across various age groups, adhering to current surgical standards and anatomical knowledge related to robotic surgery, including Urology, Gynecology, Thoracic, and General Surgery.
- Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of surgical terminology, equipment, materials, and relevant policies and procedures.
- Operate within the defined scope of nursing practice as established by the relevant regulatory bodies and organizational policies.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate Degree in Nursing - Required
- Experience: 2-3 years in a related perioperative field - Required; experience in robotic surgical procedures or minimally invasive surgery is preferred.
- Licensure & Certification: Professional Certification - Required; Registered Nurse License in the state of practice - Required; CNOR or CST certification preferred; ACLS certification is required within the first year of employment.

- Proactively review customer and co-worker satisfaction metrics, implementing measures to enhance satisfaction.
