Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Human Resources Administrator to join our team at Dayton Freight. As a key member of our Employee Relations department, you will provide administrative support for various HR and Benefits functions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Update HRIS system (UKG) to reflect current employee status, including pay changes, promotions, reviews, transfers, and terminations.
  • Ensure timely completion of I-9s and perform weekly, monthly, and quarterly audits for HR and Benefits departments.
  • Administer background checks for new hires and verify completed application processes.
  • Calculate and communicate vacation over/underpayments to Payroll and produce reports as needed.
  • Assist with employment verifications, data security, and consistency.
  • Communicate with IQ Leaders and maintain updated documentation of HR Administrator processes and procedures.
  • Collaborate with the Systems Manager on projects, auditing, and reports.
  • Respond to HR calls and emails and continuously look for opportunities to improve processes.
Requirements
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
  • Good communication skills and strong computer skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters with discretion.
  • Previous Benefits/HR experience is a plus, as is experience with UKG and iCIMS.
