Human Resources Assistant

We are seeking a full time Human Resources Assistant to work the HR front desk at the Bethany Village Campus in Centerville, Ohio.
Position Summary:
The individual in this position will act as a clerical assistant to the Human Resources Managers. Individual must be competent to perform all tasks at the HR reception desk which include operating the telephone system, greeting visitors and staff, filing, data entry and other Human Resources support duties as assigned. Must be able to understand and navigate through the Kronos system.
Duties:
- Maintains knowledge of modern office practices such as record keeping, organization, oral and written communication skills, coping practices, Word, Excel, labels, telephone techniques and etiquette, and correct English usage.
- Processes visitor and staff questions with excellent interpersonal skills using tact, patience and courtesy. Provides customer service according to the mission, vision and Faithful Caring of Graceworks Lutheran Services.
- Enters new employee data into database, conducts employment verification through information in Hireology database. Screens all assigned job applications and resumes.
- Helps job applicants with the recruitment website, hard copy or website application.
- Creates various Human Resources, Benefits and Safety packets/files as requested and needed.
- Conducts background checks and maintains BCI log - follows up ensuing timely processing.
- Additional Human Resource functions as needed
- High School Diploma or GED
- General knowledge of office operations
- Competency in Microsoft Office Suite Products
- High level of interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment
