Library Systems & Services is in search of an experienced Project Control Specialist to enhance our operational capabilities. The Specialist will utilize their expertise in project controls within the established project management framework to effectively manage project scheduling, integration, and execution. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive work breakdown structures (WBS), managing cost and resource allocations, performing project progress evaluations, applying earned value management methodologies, and ensuring seamless data integration between Primavera Project Manager and relevant financial systems. Additionally, the Specialist will facilitate knowledge transfer regarding Primavera to designated personnel.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Utilize project controls expertise within the project management framework to oversee project scheduling, integration, and execution.
  • Create detailed work breakdown structures (WBS) to systematically organize project tasks and deliverables.
  • Manage cost and resource allocations to optimize resource utilization.
  • Conduct thorough project progress evaluations, identifying potential delays and formulating recovery strategies.
  • Apply earned value management methodologies to monitor project performance and cost-effectiveness.
  • Ensure accurate data integration between Primavera Project Manager and relevant financial systems.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer regarding Primavera to designated personnel as required.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Associate's degree or equivalent.
  • 7-10 years of experience in project controls or a related discipline.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification.

  • Proficiency in project management software, especially Primavera Project Manager.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment and across various functional areas.
  • Solid understanding of project management principles and methodologies.
