Position Summary: The Accounts Management Associate is tasked with overseeing the comprehensive functions of accounts payable and accounts receivable. The ideal candidate will exhibit strong analytical capabilities, meticulous attention to detail, and the proficiency to manage various accounts efficiently. This role is essential in upholding the financial integrity of the organization and ensuring precise and prompt processing of all financial transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounts Payable Duties:

  • Oversee the complete accounts payable cycle, including data entry, vendor correspondence, and invoice management.
  • Ensure all invoices are accurately coded, approved, and documented.
  • Review and process employee expense claims and corporate credit card transactions.
  • Reconcile vendor statements and address any discrepancies.
  • Maintain vendor relationships and handle payment inquiries.
  • Enhance and optimize accounts payable processes for greater efficiency.
  • Prepare and execute payments, including checks, ACH, and wire transfers.
  • Keep detailed records of all financial transactions and payments.

Accounts Receivable Duties:

  • Manage the accounts receivable process, including generating invoices and statements.
  • Monitor customer accounts to ensure timely payments.
  • Follow up on overdue accounts and resolve payment issues.
  • Prepare and maintain reports on accounts receivable aging and cash flow.
  • Collaborate with sales and customer service teams to resolve client inquiries.
  • Engage in collections and debt recovery as necessary.
  • Evaluate customer credit terms and suggest adjustments as required.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related discipline.
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience, with a minimum of 3 years in accounts payable/receivable roles.
  • Proficient in accounting software and ERP systems.
  • Strong knowledge of financial regulations and compliance.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational abilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple accounts and meet deadlines.
  • In-depth understanding of accounts payable and accounts receivable principles.
  • Certification as a Management Accountant (CMA) is advantageous.
