Position Summary: The Senior Logistics Manager will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business and Logistics Management Support Services office. This position entails leading a team, optimizing the strengths of each member to fulfill operational requirements. The Senior Logistics Manager will serve as the primary point of contact between the Government and the Contractor, ensuring that all tasks are effectively prioritized, executed punctually, and meet the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the team in organizing tasks and maximizing individual capabilities.
  • Act as the main liaison between the Government and the Contractor.
  • Ensure timely completion of tasks while adhering to quality benchmarks.
  • Oversee logistical operations for commercial or governmental entities, including inventory oversight, procurement initiation, maintenance scheduling, and item disposal.
  • Evaluate and analyze the efficiency of supply programs and operations.
  • Handle material coordination responsibilities and make informed management decisions.
  • Manage supply support and resolve related issues effectively.
  • Conduct material management processes, including provisioning, transportation, storage, and maintenance.

Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a logistics-related discipline.
  • A minimum of ten (10) years of experience in logistics for commercial or government sectors.
  • Extensive knowledge of inventory management policies and procedures.
  • Expertise in assessing the effectiveness of supply programs.
  • Thorough understanding of supply systems, regulations, and procedures.
  • In-depth knowledge of equipment features and their relation to supply and demand.
  • Proficient in material management processes and decision-making.
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to interpret and apply government policies and regulations effectively.

Preferred Experience:

  • Experience in roles such as Product Line Manager or Contracting Officer Representative within the United States Coast Guard.
  • Veteran Senior Supply (SK) or Chief Warrant Officer (CWO) in Finance and Supply (F&S) with contracting experience are encouraged to apply.
