Job Summary:
The San Diego KOA Resort is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Campground Operations Manager to lead our Front Desk Department. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring a seamless guest experience from reservation to departure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Administrative Tasks:
- Manage reservations and registration processes to optimize occupancy, yield, and guest satisfaction.
- Meet with the Assistant General Manager (AGM) individually once per week to discuss departmental performance and goals.
- Coordinate with other team leaders as necessary to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Disseminate information on project plans, policy changes, and other important updates to individual teams.
- Assist the AGM with completion of required trainings and HR tasks for the department.
- Oversee the administration of the storage facility and group coordination.
- Leadership Responsibilities:
- Assist with the hiring and training of staff for the Front Desk team.
- Primary supervision of Front Desk staff, including covering shifts as necessary.
- Help resolve and coordinate customer service recovery efforts.
- Communicate directives and assign tasks to staff with professionalism and clarity.
- Clearly communicate with guests in a professional and courteous manner.
Requirements:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week, with a schedule that includes one weekend day and availability on holidays.
- Hourly pay rate of $24 and up, depending on experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and other internet applications, with 5+ years of experience.
- Customer service, tourism, and hospitality experience, or leadership experience in a similar field.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Valid driver's license.
Preferred Skills:
- Bilingual ability.
- Organized and effective communication skills.
This position will report to the Assistant General Manager of the San Diego KOA Resort and will be a full-time, hourly employee. Successful candidates will be expected to work a least one weekend day, be available on major holidays, and to schedule their hours in accordance with the needs of the property and front desk department.
