Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to serve as a Clinical Procedural Coordinator in our esteemed healthcare organization. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and supporting procedural area scheduling systems, ensuring seamless coordination of surgical procedures, and providing exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Scheduling and Coordination: Enter and update scheduling data, monitor and verify clinical information, confirm and publish final procedural area schedules.
  • Communication and Collaboration: Proactively collaborate with leadership teams, physicians, and clinic requestors to make adjustments to procedural area schedules and communicate changes as necessary.
  • Clinical Review and Verification: Conduct weekly and daily clinical reviews of surgical schedules to ensure accuracy, including case accuracy, equipment availability, and procedure posting.
  • Case Posting and Add-ons: Review case posting for accuracy based on clinical notes and communication with providers, and post add-on cases and emergency cases to scheduling systems as required.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and/or a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, with a minimum of three years of experience in an acute care hospital operating room as a circulating RN.
  • Critical Thinking and Communication: Demonstrate critical thinking skills, independent thinking, and accurate and professional communication with medical staff, nursing staff, patients, and their family members.
  • Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in computer technology and proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
