Key Responsibilities:
As an Endoscopy Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- Providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing endoscopic procedures.
- Utilizing your clinical expertise to assess and respond to patient needs effectively.
- Implementing the Synergy Model for Care to tailor nursing interventions to individual patient and family requirements.
- Maintaining clear and respectful communication with patients, their families, and the healthcare team.
- Delivering safe and effective nursing care while adhering to established protocols.
- Documenting patient care accurately using the Epic charting system.
- Managing time efficiently to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Assuming Charge Nurse responsibilities as assigned.
- Recognizing and respecting cultural differences in patient interactions.
- Taking accountability for your professional development and continuing education.
Minimum Qualifications:
Candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- A minimum of 12 months of recent nursing experience or completion of a re-entry nursing program.
- A valid, active nursing license or temporary permit approved by the Georgia Licensing Board.
- BLS certification is required; ACLS certification may be necessary in specific departments.
Physical and Environmental Requirements:
The role involves:
- Medium to heavy lifting (up to 75 lbs) and carrying objects up to 35 lbs.
- Frequent standing and walking, with occasional sitting.
- Close visual work, including computer use and documentation.
Environmental factors may vary based on assigned tasks and work areas, including exposure to blood-borne pathogens, biohazardous materials, and various temperature conditions.
