Position Overview:
The Program Coordinator for the Serious Illness Care Initiative will play a pivotal role in providing administrative and operational support for Quality Initiatives and the Serious Illness Care Program within the Department of Medicine. This department is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care, advancing biomedical research, and fostering professional education and training.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the Clinical Lead and Administrative Director to oversee the implementation of the Serious Illness Care Program across various divisions.
  • Develop and disseminate subject matter expertise through publications, webinars, and conferences.
  • Maintain and manage quality dashboards and databases using specialized software.
  • Act as a representative for the program within the department and to external organizations.
  • Contribute to the outreach strategy for clinical areas, focusing on relationship development and compliance.
  • Assess training needs and assist in the development of training materials.
  • Draft and edit documents for presentations, grants, and reports.
  • Supervise and direct staff as necessary.

Qualifications:
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of relevant experience. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, the ability to prioritize tasks, and effective communication skills, both written and verbal. Experience in a professional setting, particularly in program implementation and improvement, is highly desirable.

Physical Requirements:
The role involves desk-based computer tasks, with occasional standing and walking. Candidates should be comfortable with light lifting and using a telephone as needed.
