Academic Program Coordinator

Job Summary:

The Graduate Enrollment Services (GES) unit at Penn State University is seeking an Academic Program Coordinator to support daily operations for the GES team. This role will serve as a first-line liaison with internal and external contacts, working closely with students, staff, and faculty across the university.

Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for inquiries from applicants and current students regarding standard application, enrollment, and graduation procedures.
  • Schedule meetings and appointments, and maintain calendars.
  • Manage the GES general email account and process incoming transcripts and test scores for graduate applicants.
  • Scan and index confidential student-related documents using imaging systems.
  • Develop new processes and procedures in support of GES office needs.
  • Perform routine data entry and maintain accurate records.
Requirements:
  • Minimum of a High School Diploma or higher and 2+ years of related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (including Word, Access, Excel, and PowerPoint) is required; experience working on a student portal is preferred.
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, organizational and customer service skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Salary:

The salary range for this position is $38,500.00 - $55,500.00.
