Position Overview

Based in Richmond, Virginia, Ringwood Boyd Marketing manages the Virginia Wine brand on behalf of the Virginia Wine Board, focusing on promoting the unique offerings of Virginia's wine industry.

Key Responsibilities
  • Market Analysis & Distribution Strategy: Develop a comprehensive distribution strategy and pinpoint key markets for growth through trade sales. Identify trends and opportunities in regions such as Virginia, Washington DC, New York, North Carolina, and South Carolina.
  • Partner Engagement: Build and maintain robust relationships with distributors, retailers, and restaurateurs to enhance the visibility of Virginia wines. Create and manage updated lists of potential partners for outreach and marketing initiatives.
  • Industry Education: Provide education to wineries regarding distribution opportunities and sales within the 3-tier system. Facilitate interactions between wineries and distributors to promote collaboration.
  • Brand Promotion: Collaborate on marketing campaigns and promotional activities designed to elevate brand awareness and consumer interest in Virginia wines.
Qualifications

Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree in Marketing or a related field, along with:

  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational capabilities and an entrepreneurial mindset.
  • The ability to manage a dynamic workload effectively.
  • A valid driver's license and access to a vehicle.
  • A passion for wine, demonstrated through knowledge and enthusiasm.
Preferred Experience

Previous experience in the alcohol industry is advantageous, along with strong project management and relationship-building skills.
