Position Overview

We are seeking a Technical Consultant to contribute to the Microsoft Federal division.

The Microsoft Federal team is dedicated to addressing the specific mission, legal, and regulatory needs of the United States Government (USG). Essential Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Finance, Business, or a related field AND a minimum of 3 years of leadership experience in a relevant business area.
  • At least 3 years of experience working within the Federal Intelligence Community.

Additional Requirements

The ideal candidate must possess an active U.S. Government Top Secret Clearance with access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), based on a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) with Polygraph. Compliance with Microsoft and government security screening requirements is essential for this role.

Clearance Verification:
This role necessitates successful verification of the required security clearance to fulfill federal government customer requirements.

Cloud Screening:
Candidates must successfully complete a Microsoft Cloud background screening upon hire and every two years thereafter.

Citizenship Verification:
This position requires verification of U.S. citizenship due to legal restrictions associated with supporting government agency customers.

Compensation:
The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $97,800 - $189,400 per year, with variations based on specific work locations.

Role Responsibilities

The Microsoft Federal organization is looking for a Technical Consultant with diverse skill sets to support our Federal clientele. Key areas of expertise include:

  • Business Applications (Dynamics 365, CRM, etc.)
  • Data & AI (SQL, Azure SQL, Azure Data Factory, PowerBI, etc.)
  • Identity & Networking (Azure, MIM, O365, etc.)
  • Infrastructure (Win10, WVD, MECM, SCCM, etc.)
  • Intelligent Communications (Teams, Exchange, Skype for Business, etc.)
  • Modern Service Management/Adoption Change Management (MSM/ACM)
  • PowerApps/Power Platform
  • Project Management (Project Server Customization, Testing, and Implementation)
  • UX/UI & Accessibility
  • Security & Identity (Sentinel, Azure Security Center, Microsoft Defender for Cloud)

Pre-Sales Support

Engage in the pre-sale process as necessary, providing insights based on technical knowledge in your area of expertise.

Technical Delivery

  • Adhere to capacity processes as defined by the Global Capacity Management team.
  • Participate in meetings with customers to understand their business needs and define requirements.
  • Support project planning and documentation, identifying risks and dependencies.
  • Implement technical solutions while maintaining quality standards.
  • Proactively identify and address issues in collaboration with stakeholders.
  • Manage relationships with customers to enhance satisfaction and resolve concerns.

Intellectual Property Management

Act as an advocate for the effective use of intellectual property in projects and contribute to its development.

Business Development

Identify opportunities to promote the adoption of cloud and Microsoft technologies.

Readiness

Stay updated on new technologies and obtain relevant certifications as required.

Operational Excellence

Complete operational tasks accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to Microsoft policies and procedures.
