Job Summary

Rio Grande Co. is seeking a highly skilled Sales Representative to join our team. As a Sales Representative, you will be responsible for processing sales orders, confirming product specifications, and interacting with customers, vendors, and other employees in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Sales Order Processing
  • Create sales orders on all incoming orders in a timely manner.
  • Confirm product specifications, quantities, pricing, and scheduling of services.
Customer Interaction
  • Interact with customers to confirm orders and provide product information.
  • Respond to customer inquiries and resolve any issues in a timely and professional manner.
Order Fulfillment
  • Finalize sales orders by updating order information and completing shipping feedback.
  • Ensure that all orders are processed accurately and efficiently.
Administrative Tasks
  • Perform clerical duties such as filing, maintenance of reports, and housekeeping.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned by management.
Requirements
  • A minimum of 1 year experience in customer service, sales, and/or order entry.
  • Experience working with distribution software.
  • Construction or building materials experience preferred.
  • Ability to work effectively as a part of a team.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, specifically Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
