About the Role:

The Quality Assurance Engineer plays a pivotal role in ensuring that our products meet the highest standards of quality. This position involves gathering and analyzing data to support manufacturing specifications, conducting confirmation testing, and addressing quality-related challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Gather and analyze testing data using various tools and methodologies. Explore and implement cutting-edge technologies to enhance equipment and process efficiency.
  • Prepare detailed technical reports to document findings and corrective actions. Review daily reports to identify gaps in safety, quality, and delivery, and propose potential solutions.
  • Develop and execute analysis plans for quality issues. Utilize data analysis and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) approach to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
  • Support the conclusion of results post-analysis and recommend corrective actions, including process or specification modifications.
  • Assist in formulating analysis plans for quality concerns.

Who We Are Looking For:

Required Experience:

  • Experience as a co-op at Honda or in a comparable manufacturing setting is preferred.

Required Education:

  • A Bachelor's degree in engineering (mechanical, electrical, or industrial) is essential.

  • A positive attitude, open-mindedness, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Proficiency in solving complex issues through analytical thinking and implementing effective countermeasures based on quality, timing, and cost considerations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, along with excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a keen interest in working within a manufacturing environment.

Additional Position Insights:

  • Work environment consists of 50% office, 40% laboratory, and 10% production areas.
  • Overtime may be required, averaging 4-8 hours per week.
  • Minimal travel, less than 5%, is expected.
  • Involves working with hand and power tools, quality measurement instruments, and other equipment.
