Job Overview
The primary role of the Entry-Level Manufacturing Engineer is to spearhead, design, and execute innovative technical initiatives and solutions within the realms of Business Strategy, New Product Development, and Large-Scale Production. The aim is to effectively meet or surpass targets related to Safety, Environmental Standards, Quality Assurance, Timeliness, Cost Efficiency, and Employee Morale.
Key Responsibilities
1. Develop, implement, and sustain methodologies, operational sequences, and processes for the manufacturing or assembly of parts, components, sub-assemblies, and final products.
2. Analyze daily reports to pinpoint potential SQD countermeasures and opportunities for root cause analysis, continuously striving for improvement.
3. Employ data analysis and the PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) cycle to lead, support, and justify solutions in collaboration with relevant departments to address complex challenges.
4. Oversee and optimize equipment and processes to ensure peak manufacturing performance while minimizing operational costs.
Professional Development
Enhance the capabilities of oneself and colleagues through training, mentorship, and sharing of expertise in technical domains. Establish priorities and make informed decisions based on data analytics to effectively achieve business objectives. Manage project execution, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure successful outcomes and target fulfillment.
Cost Management
Estimate manufacturing costs, establish time standards, and recommend tooling and process requirements for both new and existing product lines. Test, assess, and integrate new and innovative technologies to enhance overall equipment and process efficiency. Develop and oversee investment and expense budgets to meet overall cost objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- 2-8 years of relevant experience based on educational background.
- Proficient in industry-standard software applications.
- Positive demeanor, open-mindedness, and a collaborative spirit.
- Strong self-motivation and a desire to thrive in a manufacturing setting.
- Capable of providing direction and support to others for their success.
- Demonstrated leadership abilities and excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and solve intricate problems through analytical thinking to propose and implement suitable countermeasures based on timing, quality, and cost considerations.
Technical Proficiency
Possess strong technical analysis and troubleshooting skills, along with project management capabilities.
