The Production Supervisor role is pivotal in assisting maintenance teams with troubleshooting, repairs, and retrofitting tasks, ensuring all processes are executed safely, efficiently, and accurately. Responsibilities encompass daily production operations, employee scheduling, sanitation and quality assurance, maintaining performance benchmarks, and collaborating with the Human Resources Department to manage temporary labor needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster effective working relationships across all employee levels within the organization.
  • Develop and implement the Daily Production Schedule to guide and oversee daily manufacturing activities; coordinate with human resources for additional temporary staffing as needed.
  • Appropriately schedule personnel to ensure all manufacturing operations are completed daily.
  • Guarantee completion of all sanitation tasks and adherence to safety protocols.
  • Exhibit strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ensure compliance with all OSHA regulations and guidelines.
  • Supervise daily operations to confirm that employees perform their duties efficiently, safely, and in alignment with company standards.
  • Oversee employee training, performance evaluations, hiring recommendations, promotions, raises, and disciplinary actions.
  • Collaborate closely with production staff and assist in providing coverage during breaks as necessary.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies among all employees.
  • Provide ongoing feedback for continuous improvement and conduct annual performance reviews.
  • Monitor workflow by tracking process steps; identify efficiency issues and propose improvement suggestions.
  • Request necessary repairs to ensure safe equipment operation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by management.
  • Adhere to state and federal laws, the Company Quality Program, and all relevant policies and regulations.
  • May undertake other responsibilities as directed by the Director of Operations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing setting.
  • Strong communication and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Leadership training experience.
  • Familiarity with Global Shop or similar ERP systems.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with OEE Reports.
  • Knowledge of the 5S methodology.
  • Understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and manage frequent changes or unexpected events.
  • Basic mathematical skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, geometry, and algebra for material fabrication calculations.

Preferred Skills and Qualifications:

  • Experience with continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Knowledge of safety protocols and procedures.

Work Hours and Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • 6 AM – 6 PM
  • Occasional overtime and weekend work may be required.

Salary: Based on experience.
