Position Overview:

Thompson Pipe Group is seeking a Manufacturing Operations Supervisor for our Packerhead Pipe Plant on the 1st shift.

Compensation:
$100,000 - $110,000 Annual Salary

Work Schedule:
Monday - Friday, 6 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Role Responsibilities:

This role involves direct support in the administration and coordination of production activities. Key responsibilities include:
- Staffing teams with the appropriate personnel for safe and efficient operations
- Coordinating timely material deliveries
- Planning work schedules to meet labor projections and project deadlines
- Conducting quality checks on setups and finished products
- Monitoring team adherence to company policies and productivity standards
- Ensuring product quality meets customer expectations and complies with specifications
- Communicating effectively with management and training team members
- Adhering to company procedures and administrative requirements
- Maintaining cleanliness and order in the workplace
- Implementing safety and hazard procedures
- Striving for zero defects and incidents
- Evaluating and developing team members
- Performing additional duties as assigned.

Supervisory Duties:

This position requires critical thinking and collaboration with production Crew Leaders and engineering teams to ensure deadlines are consistently met.

Qualifications:

Preferred qualifications include:
- Bachelor's degree in a related field (preferred but not required)
- 5+ years of experience in a leadership role
- Prior experience with Packerhead Machines (preferred)
- Knowledge of OSHA regulations and a proven record of safety-focused leadership
- Familiarity with 5S process improvement
- Understanding of quality standards and health and safety regulations
- Proficiency in performance evaluation
- Competence in MS Office and ERP software (experience with IFS is a plus)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Attention to detail and strong decision-making abilities
- Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.

Work Environment:

Employees may be exposed to fumes, airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and high noise levels.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this job, employees may be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands for handling objects, reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and communicate verbally. The role may involve lifting or moving products and supplies up to 40 pounds.

Position Type:

This is a full-time position with standard hours of work from Monday to Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m. Hours and workdays may change based on business needs.

Travel:

No travel is required for this position.
