The ideal candidate will be responsible for securing, developing, and managing retail accounts at medical and recreational dispensaries throughout the state.
Key Responsibilities:- Account Acquisition and Management: Identify and qualify prospects, capture new accounts, and expand our share of spend within each account.
- Strategic Relationship Development: Develop and expand accounts with strategic relationships at various levels, with focus on those that influence sales velocity and wholesale buying.
- Market Feedback and Analysis: Identify key market feedback on product preference and quality - product positioning.
- Sales Trend Monitoring: Act on sales trends, as they affect company brands, by monitoring competitors' products, market research and account requests.
- Product Introductions and Education: Routine product introductions on all new and existing products while leveraging and properly utilizing marketing collateral within all assigned retail accounts.
- Customer Satisfaction: Work to satisfy customers' needs and requests, respond to their queries in a timely manner and aspire to deliver an excellent customer experience.
- Regulatory Compliance: Adhere to company and state regulations including regulatory knowledge and standards compliance.
- Education: High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required.
- Experience: Proven B2B sales experience with a consultative approach and experience finding growth opportunities via solution-based selling.
- Account Management: Accustomed to managing accounts across a statewide territory.
- Training and Development: Ability to deliver training to employees and large teams.
- Cannabis Industry Knowledge: Understanding medicinal benefits of cannabis and the underlying science.
- Regulated Products Experience: Experience dealing with highly regulated products within a complex supply chain.
- Travel and Availability: Extensive state-wide travel is required working on the road 4-5 days a week.
- Results-Oriented: Proven track record that demonstrates the ability to negotiate closings and reach or exceed sales goals.
- CRM Utilization: Experience with CRM utilization.
- Authorization and Age: Must be authorized to work in the United States and must be 21 years of age or older.
- Cannabis Sales Experience: Cannabis sales experience.
- Existing Relationships: Existing relationships with dispensaries in the Ohio area.
- Dispensary Buyer Experience: Experience working with dispensary buyers/purchasing managers.
