Position Overview:

As a BCP Analyst, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the resilience of our organization through effective business continuity planning.

  • Compliance Assessment: Evaluate departmental business continuity strategies and business impact analyses to align with Mizuho's Policies and Standards. Collaborate with departmental BCP Liaisons to refine and enhance their respective BCPs.
  • Dependency Analysis: Investigate existing operations to uncover upstream and downstream dependencies, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of interconnections across divisions.
  • Data Management: Oversee Everbridge data upkeep, including weekly uploads of contact devices and managing groups and rules for optimal contact coverage.
  • Resource Maintenance: Ensure the accuracy of key personnel lists in Recovery Planner, updating static data related to essential resources.
  • Meeting Documentation: Record and maintain minutes for all BCP-related meetings to ensure clear communication and follow-up.
  • Application Reconciliation: Facilitate the reconciliation of applications such as RecoveryPlanner with other systems.
  • Crisis Management Support: Assist in crisis management and incident response efforts to safeguard organizational integrity.
  • Knowledge Development: Cultivate a thorough understanding of Mizuho's operations and business processes to enhance your effectiveness in the role.
  • Exercise Coordination: Help coordinate BCP exercises, documenting and addressing any issues that arise.
  • Technique Familiarization: Stay informed about current BCP methodologies and technologies to ensure best practices are implemented.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree or a relevant combination of education and experience.
  • 1-2 years of experience in Business Continuity Planning and Business Impact Analysis.
  • Background in the Financial Industry or a related field.
  • Understanding of information technology principles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
  • Strong analytical capabilities.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.

The expected base salary is competitive, reflecting a range of factors including relevant skills, experience, and education. In addition to salary, a comprehensive employee benefits package is offered, along with eligibility for a discretionary bonus.
