Role Overview:
As a Broadcast Systems Specialist, you will need a strong foundation in video and audio technologies, along with the capability to resolve technical challenges within a production studio setting.
Your proficiency in designing, installing, and integrating production systems—including audio and video routers, switchers, and automation systems—will ensure that all components function harmoniously to promote efficient operations. Staying updated on advancements in broadcast technology and industry trends is essential.
This position reports directly to the Director of Media Studios and is part of the Product & Technology Team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and repair a diverse array of production equipment.
- Provide support for Ross Video Ultix Router, Carbonite Switcher, and Xpression.
- Ensure audio and video signal integrity.
- Create and update engineering designs and implement changes as necessary.
- Research and develop products that could enhance the studios team, our editorial teams, or various video producers.
- Experience in a broadcast production environment.
- Demonstrable knowledge of HD, 4K, NDI video compression, and audio and video signal flow.
- Experience in designing and updating engineering drawings using Autodesk CAD.
- Strong communication skills, with clarity and conciseness.
- A positive, can-do attitude that inspires and motivates the team, especially during challenging situations.
- Base salary: $90,000 - $120,000 (based on skills, experience, and competencies).
