The Business Continuity Planning (BCP) Analyst plays a crucial role in ensuring organizational resilience by evaluating and enhancing business continuity strategies across various departments.
- Compliance Assessment: Review and assess departmental business continuity plans and business impact analyses to align with established policies and standards.
- Collaboration: Work closely with department BCP liaisons to refine and improve their respective BCPs, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Remediation Recommendations: Evaluate existing functions to identify dependencies and interconnections, proposing effective remediation or workaround strategies as necessary.
- Data Management: Maintain and update contact information in Everbridge, ensuring accurate and comprehensive coverage for all relevant personnel.
- Resource Maintenance: Oversee key staff lists and static data in RecoveryPlanner, ensuring critical personnel are correctly identified and resources are accurately documented.
- Meeting Documentation: Record and maintain minutes for all BCP-related meetings, ensuring clear communication and follow-up on action items.
- Application Reconciliation: Manage the reconciliation of applications such as RecoveryPlanner with other systems to ensure data integrity.
- Crisis Management Support: Assist in crisis management and incident response efforts, contributing to the organization’s preparedness.
- Knowledge Development: Cultivate a comprehensive understanding of all operational areas within Mizuho and their associated business processes.
- Exercise Coordination: Aid in the planning and execution of BCP exercises, documenting outcomes and addressing any identified issues.
- Continuous Learning: Stay informed about current BCP methodologies and technologies to enhance organizational practices.
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience.
- 1-2 years of experience in Business Continuity Planning and Business Impact Analysis.
- Background in the Financial Industry or a related field.
- Understanding of information technology principles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, SharePoint).
- Strong analytical capabilities.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues across the organization.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities.
