As a Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planner, you will:

  • Formulate disaster recovery plans for critical operational locations.
  • Create contingency strategies to address organizational emergencies.
  • Conduct tests of documented disaster recovery plans and strategies.
  • Evaluate the impact and risks to essential business functions to determine acceptable recovery timeframes and resource needs.
  • Assess potential risks to business operations.
  • Design emergency management plans for decision-making and communication during recovery.
  • Review and enhance existing disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
  • Establish and maintain communication protocols during a disaster.
  • Oversee the integration and execution of contingency plans.
  • Prepare reports summarizing testing activities, including objectives, planning, execution, results, and recommendations.
  • Develop budgets for business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives.
  • Engage in professional development to stay updated on industry advancements.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
  • Proven expertise in conducting risk assessments and business impact analyses.
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Business Continuity Management, Disaster Recovery, Information Technology, or Risk Management.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certified Business Continuity Professional (CBCP)
  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
  • Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE)
