Georgetown Hill Early School is a non-profit institution dedicated to providing high-quality educational experiences for children in Maryland. We are seeking an experienced Lead Infant and Toddler Educator to join our team.

We offer a competitive salary of $22-$25 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience. About the Role

We are opening new rooms in our Infant and Toddler programs at several campuses: Apple Ridge/Gaithersburg, Downtown Bethesda, Greenwood/Hyattstown, NRC/Rockville, and Potomac Village. As a Lead Infant and Toddler Educator, you will be responsible for meeting the individual needs and interests of infants and toddlers, ages 6 weeks to 24 months, using a creative and age-appropriate curriculum.

You will supervise infant children to ensure their health, welfare, and safety, and support their physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs. Effective leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, as well as classroom management that fosters a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment.

Qualifications

We are seeking candidates with 1-3 years of relevant experience and the following credentials/skills:

  • A minimum of MSDE 90hr Infant/Toddler Certification or CDA Certification with the Infant/Toddler Endorsement
  • Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations
  • A warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor
  • Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including grammar and reading skills
  • Highly reliable attendance and punctuality
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task
  • Team-oriented and willing to work with others
