About the Position

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Lead Teacher to join our team at Georgetown Hill Early School. As a Lead Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and stimulating environment that fosters the social-emotional growth and exploration of our preschool children.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide educational experiences that cater to the unique needs and interests of each child, utilizing a creative and age-appropriate curriculum.
  • Supervise and ensure the health, welfare, and safety of all students in the classroom.
  • Support the physical, socio-emotional, and developmental needs of each child, promoting a sense of belonging and security.
  • Demonstrate effective leadership among the classroom team, fostering a collaborative and supportive atmosphere.
  • Cultivate strong relationships with families, colleagues, and community members through effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Maintain a consistent, safe, and positive learning environment that encourages creativity, exploration, and discovery.

Requirements:

To be considered for this position, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • A minimum of the MSDE 90hr Preschool Certification or a CDA with the Preschool Endorsement.
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in early childhood education.
  • Excellent understanding of child development principles and instructional strategies.
  • Strong knowledge of MSDE regulations and compliance.
  • A warm, friendly, and cool-tempered demeanor, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient technological skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and able to prioritize and multi-task.
  • Team-oriented and willing to work collaboratively with others.
