Job Overview

Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) is seeking a Senior Procurement Agent to become a vital member of our Executive Transport division. This role is available in various locations across the United States.

As part of the BDS Mobility, Surveillance, & Bombers sector, you will have the unique opportunity to contribute to the development of the next generation of Executive Transport Aircraft. Our seasoned Procurement Agents leverage their extensive knowledge to enhance supply chain operations at Boeing. By joining this initiative, you will collaborate with a distinguished team of supply chain professionals, making significant strides in the aerospace industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage supply and demand dynamics, schedules, supplier quality, delivery, and financial performance.
  • Lead negotiations regarding pricing and contractual terms.
  • Develop and implement negotiation strategies that result in binding agreements.
  • Interpret and enforce contractual terms and conditions.
  • Engage with external clients to address supplier performance challenges.
  • Facilitate supplier performance teams to devise strategic solutions across various programs and commodities.
  • Participate in supply chain process enhancement teams and identify opportunities for integration into supplier contract strategies.

Work Environment:

This position is hybrid, requiring some onsite work at designated locations. The specific arrangements will be determined by the hiring team.

Shift Information:

This role operates on the first shift.

Security Clearance Requirements:

Applicants must be eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance, which necessitates U.S. Citizenship.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience managing suppliers or vendors.
  • At least 5 years of experience in Supplier Management, Supply Chain, or Procurement practices.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher.
  • 5+ years of experience in Supplier Management or Procurement as a Purchasing Agent or Buyer.
  • 5+ years of experience in Contracts & Pricing or Supplier Management Procurement.
  • 5+ years of experience interpreting and enforcing contract terms.
  • 5+ years of experience with various contract types, including Time & Materials and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
  • 5+ years of experience with U.S. Department of Defense contracts.
  • 5+ years of experience with FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulations).
  • 5+ years of experience with the Truth in Negotiations Act (TINA).

Typical Education/Experience:

Education and experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g., Bachelor) and usually 10 or more years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Relocation:

Relocation assistance is not available for this position; candidates must reside in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

Travel Requirements:

This position may require travel up to 10% of the time.

Pay Range: $88,400 - $126,000
