Theatre Production Manager

We are seeking an accomplished professional to fill the position of Director of Production at Arena Stage. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the Production Department, ensuring efficient and effective execution of artistic vision and logistical planning.
Key Responsibilities:
- Schedule and coordinate the work of the Production Department team.
- Develop and manage the department's budget, tracking expenses and providing regular updates on financial performance.
- Collaborate with directors, designers, and production staff to ensure smooth production processes.
- Manage the tech/production process, facilitating communication among team members and stakeholders.
- Oversee the hiring of contract production staff and manage the production payroll.
- Work closely with the Senior Staff to plan and schedule each season and develop long-term strategic plans.
Requirements and Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in theatre arts or a related field.
- A minimum of five years of experience in production management.
- Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with MS Office and scheduling software.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively under pressure and meet deadlines.
