Role Overview

The Lead Procurement Specialist plays a crucial role in managing the comprehensive buying, planning, and scheduling activities across multiple departments. This position encompasses end-to-end procurement responsibilities.

  • Oversee supplier management, utilizing Oracle EBS for data input and purchase order processing.
  • Negotiate pricing and purchase orders to ensure optimal quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Prioritize supply chain continuity to maintain operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to address and resolve quality issues proactively.
  • Work closely with finance to ensure compliance with procurement standards and regulations.
  • Coordinate with production, sales, and suppliers to align raw material purchases with production requirements.
  • Manage material planning, purchasing, and scheduling to guarantee timely delivery of finished products.
  • Procure finished goods from external suppliers based on MRP requirements and customer timelines.
  • Confirm and expedite supplier delivery schedules as necessary.
  • Update MRP reports with revisions related to quantity and shipping dates.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in Oracle ERP Manufacturing/Purchasing/Procurement Modules (Oracle EBS).
  • 10-15 years of procurement experience, ideally within a machining context.
  • Familiarity with APICS principles and ability to navigate an ambiguous environment.
  • Strong ownership and problem-solving skills to address demand signals and operational inputs.
  • Expertise in inventory analysis, including fill rate and on-time delivery metrics.
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel for data manipulation and analysis.
  • Proactive supplier management skills with a technical understanding of the semiconductor sector.
  • Ability to conduct consumption and forward projection analyses.
  • Team-oriented with a strong appreciation for collaboration.
  • Extensive knowledge of manufacturing and assembly methodologies.
