Position Overview:
We are seeking a Facility Security Officer to join our team in a pivotal role. In this capacity, you will implement the necessary security measures to comply with the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual (NISPOM), government security regulations, and internal security policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the execution of daily security program requirements and contribute to the overall security strategy of the organization.
  • Conduct security briefings and manage an effective security education initiative.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and procedures for the classification, downgrading, upgrading, and safeguarding of classified information.
  • Manage and maintain UL–2050 Compliant Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS) and automated Access Control Systems (ACS).
  • Coordinate with government personnel to review, track, and monitor security clearance processing activities.
  • Possess a working knowledge of ICD 705 construction guidelines and COMSEC.
  • Prepare and monitor DD254 forms for subcontractors, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Understand Title 32 CFR Part 117 and SEAD3 reporting requirements.
  • Process mandatory self-reporting from program personnel to various stakeholders.
  • Review all personnel security documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • Develop, implement, and oversee HII Mission Technology program policies and procedures in compliance with government security requirements.
  • Provide guidance to employees to ensure timely reporting of any potential security breaches.
  • Conduct security training sessions, briefings, and debriefings.
  • Safeguard classified materials, managing their receipt, control, routing, storage, marking, packaging, mailing, and destruction.
  • Maintain visitor control functions and verify visit authorization requests (VARs).
  • Prepare reports and presentations for management, including senior leadership.
  • Investigate and report security violations, drafting incident reports with preventive actions.
  • Maintain records in accordance with security manual and procedures.
  • Assist with readiness for government and company compliance audits.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of Intelligence Community Directives (ICD), DoD Manuals, and related security requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with security classification guides and protection requirements.
  • Demonstrate the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Excel in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.

Qualifications:

  • 6 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree in a related field; 4 years of relevant experience with a Master's degree; or a High School Diploma with 10 years of relevant experience.
  • Top Secret clearance with a CI polygraph completed within the last five years.
  • Strong understanding of the NISPOM and its application to the Industrial Security Program.
  • Ability to work from an HII facility and respond to alarm calls within 90 minutes.
  • Experience in enforcing security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to capture fingerprints electronically.
  • Experience managing a cleared facility.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with DOE, Intelligence Community, and other government security regulatory manuals.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Completion of Facility Security Officer Program Management for Possessing Facilities certificate.
  • Completion of Establishing an Insider Threat Program Course certificate.
