Key Responsibilities:
Synergy ECP is seeking a Senior Information Systems Security Officer to become a vital part of our team.
- Provide support to the information assurance program of the organization, system, or enclave.
- Assist in proposing, coordinating, implementing, and enforcing security policies, standards, and methodologies for information systems.

- Maintain the operational security posture of information systems to ensure compliance with established security policies, standards, and procedures.

- Oversee the management of security elements within the information system and conduct daily security operations.
- Assess security solutions to confirm they meet the necessary requirements for handling classified information.
- Conduct vulnerability and risk assessments to facilitate certification and accreditation processes.
- Manage configuration for security software, hardware, and firmware within the information system.
- Evaluate changes to the system and determine their security implications.

- Prepare and review essential documentation, including System Security Plans (SSPs), Risk Assessment Reports, Certification and Accreditation (C&A) packages, and System Requirements Traceability Matrices (SRTMs).

- Support security authorization activities in accordance with the Information System Certification and Accreditation Process (NISCAP) and the DoD Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Qualifications:

- A Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Information Assurance, Information Security, or a related field, along with 12 or more years of relevant experience.

- Alternatively, an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of a bachelor's degree or a Technical Bachelor's Degree.

- A minimum of 7+ years of experience as an ISSO supporting Intelligence Community (IC) or Department of Defense (DoD) programs and contracts of similar scope and complexity is required.

- Compliance with DoD 8570 standards at IAM Level II or IAT Level III (e.g., CASP, CISSP, or Associate) is necessary.

- A full clearance with the appropriate client polygraph is mandatory.
